Wow DuByne sure has sucked you in. It may be -42 degrees at the south pole but the melting occurs on the antarctic coast which is much warmer. Antartica is a big continent you know.

So give us an example.

Mawson, Davis, Whoop Whoop, Mirnyi, Amery all showing about -20C.

Thanks Lee,
it's way below zero but according to Monk & Aussie the ice is melting.
And Monk says he went to university.  Embarrassed

John Casey is a respected NASA scientist who has written many books - check him out.

David DuByne has interviewed him in one of the videos I posted.

Bobby, you referred to 'world's greatest climate scientists' and when I ask that you name them, all you come up with is the name of a former shuttle engineer who, on climate science, is in the same snake oil business as is DuByne.

Name those 'world's greatest climate scientists' to which you refer.  You weren't lying were you, Bobby.

That was only one great scientist.
I'll let you look through the over 630 videos to find the rest.

Really captain obvious? in the middle of winter its cold in Antarctica?
Grin Grin Grin Grin Grin Grin Grin Grin

have a look at summer and you'll see that most stations are well above freezing. Mawson had maximum temperatures above zero nearly every day in January 2018

Yeah. But you didn't say anything about summer. Poor diddums. Grin Grin Grin Grin Grin Grin Grin

And did you notice it went below 0C EVERY night? Do you know what that means? It RE-freezes. Wink

The highest January Maximum for Mawson is 10.6C in 1974.

Jaybuz, you post crap Bobby:

You said:

Quote:
Some new record low temperatures:

....and then posted this gibber as justification for your statement....remember ~
RECORD!!!!

Quote:
http://www.weatherzone.com.au/news/long-frosty-night-in-southern-australia/52807...

Long, frosty night in southern Australia

Ben Domensino, Friday June 22, 2018 - 10:50 EST

Quote:
Canberra and Adelaide just had their coldest morning of 2018 after temperatures plummeted across southern Australia during the longest night of the year.

Gee..amazing.....on the shortest day of the year, it was the coldest morning this year.  Wow....and in other breaking news.....water is wet.

Quote:
A broad ridge of high pressure across southern Australia caused clear skies and light winds during Thursday night, allowing temperatures to drop more than five degrees below average in some areas.

Read on, I guess.....

Quote:
Shortly after the sun rose on Friday morning, Canberra had reached -5.1 degrees and Adelaide 3.5 degrees, making this the coldest start so for this year in both cities.

Gee whiz!  The coldest start for the Year, huh!  I wonder what we ought to expect as Winter progresses????  And in other breaking news, water is wet.

Quote:
While the high pressure ridge draped across southern Australia played a big part in this morning's chilly minimum temperatures, there was also more cooling time. Thursday night was the longest night of 2018 across Australia because the southern hemisphere's winter solstice occurred at 8:07pm Eastern Standard Time on Thursday 21st June.

Yeassss....and???????

Quote:
After a long night, Mildura's -2.1 degrees on Friday morning was seven below average and its lowest June temperature in six years.

And when was the lowest before that????  And in just ONE town...it was colder than average.  Whoopdeedoo!

Quote:
Thursday night will be another cold and frosty one for much of central and southern Australia, although there will be a little bit less darkness across the country compared to last night.

A statement of the blindingly obvious.  And in other breaking news, water is wet.

And that's it!

Typical beat up, swallowed by Bobby and no doubt yet to be sensationalised by the snake oil man in next week's placebo edition.

ONE place (where a ho-hum temperature was noted) on the entire Continent does not a pattern of any kind make, Bobby.

Have you passed it on to snake oil man?

Can you give us the stats on the shortest day of the year being the coldest?

"Mt Hotham recorded its coldest June temperature in a decade, when it fell to -2.8C.

It was actually coldest recorded temperature in June for 11 years, but last year in July it dropped to -3.5C,” Mr Newham said. "

Oh, perhaps not that often.

But you wouldn't expect such cold record low temperatures if
we were under the effect of global warming.
It's that simple Aussie.
How can I make it more simple for you?

No.....but why is it worthy of comment or remarkable that a day in Winter was the coldest for the year so far?  Is that not to be expected?  It is obvious it will happen, just like at some time this coming Summer, Canberra will have it hotest day for that Summer.

It is NOT a record low, Bobby, and it is about just one place on the entire Continent.

Have you passed that Article on to snake oil man?

David will read it I suppose & it could make it into the next video.
Also from the last video:

" Melbourne coldest start in 36 years to winter,
record snow and frosts to within 1500 miles
south of the equator toward Cains."

Aussie,
the records keep piling up.
It's not just one town or one small place -
it's general condition all over the continent.

What about if we rewrote it to:
Mildura had it's hottest winter day in 6 years &
it was the warmest start to winter in Melbourne for 36 years.
Hottest temperatures for winter in years all over the continent.

Then would it mean anything to you?

Bobby, I don't have an agenda...no axe to grind, other than to do what is obvious and so easy for someone like me who has a capacity and absolutely no knowledge on matters climate science.....just like you, except you have no demonstrated a capacity other than being completely gullible.

If snake oil man turned up here...right here in Relationships, I would trounce him with his own bullshit.

But no, he is too busy fraudulently drumming you up as an expert and a 'guy who knows his stuff,' and reading crap like that Article which is all smoke and mirrors, and....proclaims astonishingly that water is wet.

Did you refer that Article to DuByne?

Because when it is the hottest day for that particular day of the month it is tremendous news.  Wink

And it doesn't even have to be the hottest day.

"It was also the second-hottest day ever in May since city records began 133 years ago. The hottest day ever recorded for the month of May in Hong Kong was on May 31, 1963, with a temperature of 35.5 degrees."
