Setanta claims he has no authority to interfere on what is posted on MRBs at least thats my interpretation of his explanation on people posting topics unrelated to MRB subjects.

Especially when topics unrelated to the MRB are being fragrantly posted to capture a topic the MRB mod has no right to control!

Sounds ridiculous to me perhaps a rule change is needed!

What do you want me to do? Punch FD in the face and override what he has told us we are allowed to do? We are not to unduly interfere with MRBs. If stuff is posted on them that breaks site rules we can remove that. Shyte, they are called MRBs for a reason. The member runs the board and makes the rules as long as they do not conflict with site rules.

See the edit to my post above. This is not for me to make decisions on. These are FD's rules, not Aussie's. If you are pissed about them, contact him. I've made it clear that if I think something happening in an MRB goes over the line I may well interfere against what I have been told but I'n not doing that for threads you decide should be elsewhere. I'll save that for far more deserving reasons.

I don't feel the need to. He can read this thread and was in here earlier, it's his board, I'll leave it up to him. AS it is he has decided the "Member Run Boards" should be run by the member that is mod of that board. I don't really see a problem with that. What is the point of having MRBs if we can just interfere at will whenever we like? Perhaps the way around it would be to sack all MRB mods, including you, Sprint, Bobby and Aussie and bring them all under central control.

I don't feel the need to. He can read this thread and was in here earlier, it's his board, I'll leave it up to him. AS it is he has decided the "Member Run Boards" should be run by the member that is mod of that board. I don't really see a problem with that. What is the point of having MRBs if we can just interfere at will whenever we like? Perhaps the way around it would be to sack all MRB mods, including you, Sprint, Bobby and Aussie and bring them all under central control.

That wouldnt worry me in the slightest!

As long as the rule applies to all!

Perhaps you should approach all the other mods of MRBs and get their feelings on the matter.

What is interesting is that Aussie whines if he considers a thread on another mrb infringes on what he perceives to be a Relationships thread. Yet, we have him starting threads that are clearly not about relationships in his long drop. I think an argument could be made for most threads to exist in Fringe or Extremism exposed the best way to fight fire is with fire. Wink wink, so any one bothered by what is happening is more than welcome to get out the matches in Fringe. It’s got a lot to do with the thread title ya know. Cool

I agree with Setanta's interpretation.

MRBs, unless the person responsible for the board dies, or goes on a permanent holiday, should be the sole responsibility of the owner of the board, the official MOD of that MRB, unless like Setanta stated, there is a severe rule violation, then any responsible Mod should step in if aware.
