I do the 'frozen pie' version because its my
"In a hurry dinner." Fast, simple and fills the spot quickly.
Just "Beep-Beep-Beep" on the Microwave and in 6 mins - DINNER! x3 meat pies n' sauce does the trick and it sure beats 2min noodles.

I've experience many an 'over-rated' Pie experience from many Pie Shops. They are Boutique, they are Gourmet, they are very expensive Pies that really don't offer anything fantastically different to a Pie from Woolworths/Coles.
I paid $5 for just one Pie that was 'thin' of any meat (just one flake of mushroom) and that was from a Bakery in a snooty expensive boutique town.

Like all things in Australia now - Over-Rated, Over-Priced and full of Over-Achievers.  Roll Eyes

yes, I have had pies from pie shops that are very poor.
It is appallingly bad way to run a business.
You should go broke.

imho, if you run a pie shop ALL of your pies have to be good.
Price is immaterial.

eg, TradeTools just sell tools.
They only have good tools.

It's almost impossible to get a pie for less than $7 in Sydney anymore and then it is pot luck.  Sandwiches/wraps can be $12-$15.

I am glad I don't have to buy my lunch anymore.  What with tolls/fares/lunches it is a huge slug out of people's pay packet just to work.

if you Microwave a Pie, then buy the ones that have the Pie cover that helps Harden up the crust...

Aldi Pies have this ... but my favourite Mrs Mack's Pies also have this outer cover...

not that I eat a Pie very often.. .rarely in fact..

The ONLY frozen pie that I have found to be good microwaved is the Mrs Mac's pies.

They come in a special inside metallic coated wrapper and if you give them 2.5 minutes on high (although they recommend 3 minutes) with both ends of the wrapper cut open to allow the steam to escape ... then let stand for 2 minutes still in the wrapper. Result? Perfect!  Cool

so easy to avoid soggy pie -> don't use max power so that you can microwave it longer without it popping.  makes the pie evaporate of moisture leaving it hard. can't quite make it flaky though.

Fuzzball's anus has multiple occupancy and is always 'full' of wretches that would otherwise be homeless.

Please don't thank me. Effusive fawning and obeisance of disciples, mendicants, and foot-kissers embarrass me.
