The quota is 190K every year.

I'm sure within the first year farmers needs would be fulfilled with the visa workers amongst that 190K.

Thats' how we're going to get to 40 million by 2050 every year 190K cause that's what the oligarchy want.....?!?!?!

Yes & it's a dumb idea.

Bad for us, good for the oligarchy keeps salaries and wages flat and increases the market all the time.

It also dilutes the Patriots and those who take pride in being an Aussie. Not like half the traitors on here.
Immigrants don't give a crap about us and this country.

You do realise that for many Australians the retirement age(pension eligibility) has been pushed out to 67 years of age .....

and that your Tory mates want to make it 70 yrs of age?

You do realise that the current preservation age is 58 pushing out to 60?

You can access your super pension at the preservation age. Then morph onto the age pension when you qualify.?

Talk to your super specialist.

Most ppl at that age now dont have enough super yet

That's right Spot

My preservation age was 55 but I set it to 60 because taking super before 60 meant it was taxed again.

I turn 62 in May & still do not have enough in my super.

I will have to stay working until 65 then I have another year & a half before I have reached pension eligibility.

The clowns in govt. want you to be self funding in retirement yet control how much you are allowed to put in ...... Labor increased the combined employer & employee contributions from $25k per year to $35k per year & as soon as the LNP got in they reduced it back to $25k.

No wonder people end up on the pension anyway.

Idiots in my opinion.

Depends what "enough" is. The figures quoted as required by the so called experts are ridiculous. I know someone with over a mil in super who thinks he doesnt have enough.

Politics of division, innit?  The LNP bring in more third worlders than Labrador does, and then whine about Labrador and 'open borders' which never existed.

It might not be enough. Things are expensive nowadays. You have to live the rest of your life on it. After paying off your mortgage (or worse paying rent forever) there isnt a million left for electricity and food etc.

You do realise if that happens and their income  and assets drop below the necessary level, they become eligible for the pension?

What is the amount of money in super above which you are not eligible for the pension AT ALL even if you are pensionable aged?

It's the Oligarchy's Policy

Did anyone watch Q&A last night, it turns out that our immigration policy is NOT our government’s policy but rather the policy of the corporates, I guess they kill two birds with one stone, it keeps salary and wages flat while maintaining an ever increasing market.

I think all our politicians need a few hard stiff back handers across the moushe......... Cheesy

No there is no such thing as the Oligarchy. That is just conspiracy theory nonsense.

Big business and property speculators want more population as it gives them more customers.

Politicians want more population as it artificially increases GDP growth and they also receive large "donations" (ie bribes) from the said big business and property developers.

You better get with the times barnacle there is such a word as the oligarchy and its all too real no conspiracy theories here mate

As you are experiencing at this very moment and you can see with your own eyes and ears that they (they oligarchy)  are responsible for setting the quota on our immigration policy which affects us all directly.

So then why do we have governments.....???

The oligarchy through plutocracy rule every nation on Earth bar Russia, China, Iran and Nth Korea.

There is such a word as "Fairy" too, but that doesn't mean that they live at the bottom of the garden.

Oligarchy - a form of government in which all power is vested in a few persons or in a dominant class or clique; government by the few.

Russia, China, Iran and Nth Korea are among the few countries that ARE ruled by an Oligarchy. But there is no "world oligarchy" and please don't spam us with graphs, youtude clips and other meaningless discredited nonsense like you do with the global warming threads.
