Is it OK to take what we don't have ?
Mar 11th, 2018 at 7:25am

Is it OK to take [from others] what we don't have ?

Q.
Is it OK to take, what someone else has, because we don't have what [or as much as] they have ?
[Q.    is that the 'morality', which is being imbued into the psyche, of many individuals today, by the mores of society ?]

There seems to be a lot of robbery [i.e. stealing, with violence or with a threat of violence] going on in our suburbs today.

It is on our TV news bulletins almost every night.

The home invasions, the terrified victims, with broken faces.

"Give me your money!"

"Give me your smart phone!"

"Give me your car keys!"

Dictionary;
rob (robbery) = = take property unlawfully from (a person or place) by force or threat of force.

Dictionary;
steal = = take (something) without permission or legal right and without intending to return it.

Q.
Is this the society that we want, or that we would choose to live in ?

Q.
Is this the society that the individuals who choose to do robberies and stealing, would choose [for themselves] to live in ?
Really ?

Q.
Why can't we all see ['compute'], that it is always wrong, to simply take, what does not belong to us ?

Do some people here think that question [my Q.], is unrealistic, or that it 'speaks' of originating in the mind of a naive individual ?

QUESTION;
What is the measure of a 'civilised society' ?

i.e.
What is the measure [definition] of the 'civilised' individual ?

MY OPINION;
No matter how poor a person 'perceives' himself to be, that does not give us the right to engage in robbery or stealing from others.

Psalms 25:3
Yea, let none that wait on thee be ashamed: let them be ashamed which transgress without cause.
4  Shew me thy ways, O LORD; teach me thy paths.

Im not sure what you mean about society encouraging it. Perhaps by not allowing some to survive without crime?

THAT CONCEPT CAN BE EASILY EXTRAPOLATED UPON.

You have not worked, therefore you are not entitled.

Like our aboriginals, our muzzo invaders our African monkeys.

They want, they demand, but they have never contributed.

This is where it all starts

the words Home Invasion are pretty new to me ..it was always called.. break and enter or robbery.. in my day but then it was usually by one person only...

now they come in a group...where did we learn that from????.. it seems to be random  and violent...... and cowardly of course....

its time the courts got tougher I am thinking.....

this would leave lasting traumer on people.....these villains deserve no time off for good behavior  its what they do to society that counts.. not how they behave in a cage.

Let them come.

I have several razor sharp knives and swords.

I wont kill them, but they will never try it again.

Hamstrung makes it hard to walk, a nice deep archeilies tendon cut never heals well.

Lop off a hand, open up a face, all are well within the abilities of a well trained master.

Let them come, I can argue in court that I feared for my invalid wife against bigger, younger thugs.

Ill take it to the papers and media.

let them come, we shall see who is most afraid.

And if they get the better of me, thats OK

Ill pay someone to take them out, I have plenty of money and Im happy to pay.

Not from what Im led to believe

If there is an invalid in the house and you honestly fear for their lives

and as an old bloke

I believe I can defend myself and my family as long as they break in.

And I will.

Theft and Robbery are not recent things. They have been happening ever since time began.

'break and enter' was just literally breaking in and stealing - not assaulting in a mob and bashing people.

The right to defend home and hearth should be enshrined in law.... that'd soon sort some out.  Turn out the neighbourhood militia.

The State does this by progressive taxation.

Swagman,

You may consider taxation, to be akin to 'stealing',       but our government(s) 'extracting' taxes from the citizenry is at least legal.

And there is a real, lawful 'remedy' to eliminate taxation by a government.

i.e.
Change the government.

Elect a group of pollies who will promise to remove your obligation to pay taxes [haha].

You then will not complain so loudly [about taxation].....

But i suspect that you would complain
that the roads are broken,
that bridges are falling down,
that there are no state schools,
no public hospitals,
and no police departments,
no law courts, and
no defence force, etc, etc.

The senior execs do it openly by putting their fingers in the till and then calling the loot "bonuses"
