Part of his job was to force women to remove their headscarves.

A good documentary on SBS about Iran the other night showed groups of young people heading out into the bush where the morality police could not find them and women discarding their head coverings, ghetto blasters cranking drinking home brew smoking joints and cigarettes, dancing and doing all the things that would get them locked up or worse, the general overtone was that the morality police on many fronts are getting more reluctant to enforce this backward cultures laws.
Times are a changing, it may take another thousand years but generation by generation they may just come around.
Women driving around with head scarfs draped over their shoulders flouting the law is a start.

Islam is an absolute patriarchal culture. Woman are controlled and owned by males, almost like cattle. The head scarf law is just one of a raft of restrictions used by males to dominate women. Female genital mutilation is probably the worst. There is no place in the modern world for Islam. They are throw-backs to primitive times.
