A poll in the Austrian newspaper Heute (Today) has seen 70% vote in favour of cancelling taxpayer funding of the public broadcaster.
This is also the policy favoured by the VC of ruling coalition party FPO.

The reason: the public broadcaster consistently and blatantly pushes a left wing brand of politics the people are sick of hearing.

Most West European countries have the same model with the same predictable political message: BBC in the UK, ZDF in Germany, NOS in Holland.

Their days of living off the taxpayer are running out.
