Link.

Good choice, certainly looks like Harry Smith who was once my immediate across the road neighbour on the Sunshine Coast well after Vietnam.  Be interesting to see who they cast as Kirby and Bob Buick, Buick still on the Coast and an avid contributor to "Letters to the Editor" of the local schmedia rag.

Hope the producers do a good job on this, as it certainly is a tale worth telling.

Could be interesting, depending on how they handle it. The trouble with Australian war movies since "Gallipoli" is that they are all remakes of "All Quiet On The Western Front." I am not interested in portrayals of soldiers as victims.

Yes....but this was a pretty short event.  Four hours in real time one afternoon when it was pissing down raining.

The NZ artillery did the job, but those blokes right there called them in.....to blast the schit out of where they were.  Must have been just metres in that sort of gunnery.

Let's not forget 9Sqn Iroquois going against 'orders' to drop ammo into the fire fight.

The head of the RAAF task force Viet Nam wasn't too keen on releasing the assets, but the pilots of 9 Sqn were ready to go regardless. And the has always been a contentious issue between the RAAF and the Army for many years.
