Israel is a beacon of freedom and democracy in one of the most backwards places on earth. No wonder the Muslims and apologists hate it.
SERIOUSLY???
Israel was the dream come true of a bunch of fanatical Zionists, that actively promoted anti-semitism, and the attendant pogroms and even the holocaust (to some degree), that followed on from that shameful history.
They were happy to see the persecution and slaughter of jews so they could coerce the world to give them a country because of attached shame and responsibility for those crimes, onto peoples not actually guilty of those crimes.
They promoted terrorism in the middle east by murdering british people with bombs and guns, starting in 47 or 48, with the "Stern Gang".
They rule their neighbours with tanks and automatic weapons, and nuclear weapons.
THAT does not actually paint a picture of FREEDOM and DEMOCRACY to me.
Now unfortunately that is all a fait accompli, and I can certainly sympathise with a state surrounded by fanatical muslims sworn to wipe them off the face of the earth wishing to defend itself.
So due to historical acts of utter bastardry, we find ourselves in a world where two sides exist that can never successfully share or even co-exist, because each is eternally wed to the fanatical belief that GOD is on THEIR side.
As long as religion exists, the middle east will remain in hideous violent conflict.
I just find it hard to identify either side as the guys in White Hats.
No GOOD guys to be found there.
If I had to choose a neighbour though, I would go with the jews, all day, every day. They are certainly a lot easier to get along with. (Unless you are an Arab neighbour that is.)
