Could we not also use a delete button in case we make an error upon our posts' relevancy?

You can indeed modify YOUR OWN posts, however if you want to 'modify' what others post as pessary does, then there is absolutely no point in posting on this forum..........

Leftwanker, as with pessary, should start threads where only he can post as with pessary's MRF, then he won't be so worried about modifying posts.........he can talk to himself.......which again, like pessary, he is really good at....

The Modify button is missing from the last post I made here which was yesterday.

Looks like there is a time limit for editing posts. Lots of forums do that. Some don't allow any editing at all after posting.

There's usually a setting in the forum software's Administration Panel which allows the Admin to allow or disallow editing/deletion of posts and a time limit for doing it.

And, just to be clear, I'm talking about editing one's own posts, not anyone else's (which only Admins or Mods can usually do anyway).

Edit: the Modify button is available to me for this post right now but I bet by this time tomorrow (probably earlier) it will be gone.

Edit 2: still available over 5 hours later.
Edit 3: still available over 22 hours later.

Looks like the time limit for modifying (editing) your own posts is 24 hours.

The 'Modify' button is no longer available for my previous post.

It has always been like that, not sure what the trigger is but aged posts can not be modified.
