The Liberals and Nationals both have woman as their deputy leaders however when a new leader needs to be selected these woman never get a mention....The Coalition parties are men's clubs were woman are given token roles to keep up appearances with no chance of ever leading the party   or driving any meaningful reforms....Julie Bishop has been deputy whilst the men decide which bloke should overtake her in the pecking order....The Coalition do not like woman in power!!!

did you see where billy boil was called... Bill steve bradbury shorten... this morning....

hilarious.

😀 He won't win because he is great , he will win because libtards are completely chit

DUH!   how did steve bradbury win...duh!

By training hard for over a decade. By not giving up after he broke a vertebra in his neck in a race. By not giving up after he nearly died in a racing accident that sliced open an artery and caused him to lose four litres of blood. By being good enough to be selected for the Australian Winter Olympics team four times. By knowing his weaknesses and playing to his strengths. By competing to the best of his ability. By choosing a strategy that worked.

He didn't win by accident. He was ranked about eighth in the world in the sport when he won his gold medal. He won by a lot of hard work, the hard work that you don't ever get to see. Yes, good luck in the final did play a large part in the win but in a way he made his own luck.

Being dismissive of Bradbury's gold medal in 2002 only shows ignorance about how much hard work he put in just to be there.

Plenty of competitors pull out amazing performances when it mattered. One of the gold medals in aerial skiing at the recent Winter Olympics was won by someone ranked outside the top 20. Anyone can win if they are good enough when it counts.

People said the same thing about Abbott. He won because oppositions don't win elections, governments lose them.

If you think the current government made up of the dregs of the Howard government are good enough to win another term then you've got rocks in your head.

Like it or not, a Shorten government is the most likely result after the next election. They will probably end up gaining 20 seats.

You can talk about Poll results until the cows come home

When it gets to the crunch people will not look further than Bill Shorten

What they will see then, most probably for the first real time is a man who has come from an extremely shaky past as a Union Leader who took bribes for his Union  for peace from Private Business

They will see a man with a not dissimilar background to Barnaby Joyce, the only real difference being that Shorty is a serial pants man who has been at bat more than the paltry once of Barnaby

Then...people will think God...do we really need this train wreck for a Prime Minister?..And it is at that moment that Shorten will sink like the Titanic in people's minds Cheesy

Roll Eyes

You ever handed out how to vote cards Mr Baron?  If you had, you would realise that 99.9% of voters seem to have absolutely no idea about any of the personalities.  It's pretty much very tribal, and/or territorial.

For example, New England would elect a rutting pig if it was wearing blue.  They did.

No

I just think brown outers, port hole pokers and dirty diddlers are a PLAGUE  on the human race.

No, honestly.
It's not their fault.
It's a mental illness, an anomolie, a twisted perversion

With treatment, there is a chance they can be made normal human beings.

Oppositions don't win elections. Governments lose them.

And we have a government that is on track for an electoral flogging because they are so goddamned awful.

You really needs top open both eyes for a change, rather than posting endless bile-filled posts castigating Shorten for imaginary sins. If the polls are accurate, he's going to be the Prime Minister after the next election. And we urgently need a change of government to fix the economy and the country after two decades of conservative damage. We simply cannot afford another term of the Coalition in charge.

In a time of universal deceit — telling the truth is a revolutionary act.

No evidence whatsoever it can be attributed to George Orwell or Eric Arthur Blair (in fact the same guy)
