Idiot wet weather drivers.

Just amazes me how stupid some people are.

1.  If it is raining,  put your lights on so every other bugger can see you!

2.  Slow the farq down!

3.  If it's flooded, forget it!

Sad

Yeah, I do that... I have also never left my keys in the car. No demerits in over 30 years, I'd make a good cab driver but I don't really like people that much and many would probably end up in the boot with zip ties on their hands and feet with a ballgag in their traps.

If you were a cabbie,  would you go full retard if a passenger used a mobile?

As long as he wasn't calling me to talk to I wouldn't give a damn. I'd think about driving cabs if there were soundproof perspex shields between me and the "customers", I don't mind driving. I guess I'd make a better Limo driver.

edit: I did go for a job once as a courtesy driver, picking people up from Perth airport and driving them to where they were to go. Didn't get the job.

I've been working Cabbie since Australia Day (my first day and it was full-on flat out - made $700!).

I love it!
Meet so many interesting, nice and friendly people. Hear many a great story. Even doing the Maxi full of drunk people is a laugh!  Grin Even being propositioned from young nympos is a laugh too!  Grin

Wet Weather: Yep, lights on. Wet weather traction button if your vehicle has it. 10kms slower than limit. Hazard lights on if very heavy downpour (just like in fog) - or pull to the side of the road if enough room. Use Blue-tooth for phonecalls (no difference really to using a CB).

I drive 'hire-cars' too.

Being a Cabbie is a gas!
My biggest tip is $50 so far.
I was given a $700 tip - but I put it all back in his pocket because I don't take advantage of people ...even if they are drunk.
I like my job enough not to be 'desperate' about it.
