I see your point Agnes ... but don't forget that the "pursuit" of real life women by men is fraught with danger today.
Because of that many have joined the same category as females that no longer consider having a man in their life a necessity.
If a good man is hard to find that applies equally to a good woman being just as elusive.
BTW women also look at porn.
What do you do when all the women who show obvious interest in you are renting their properties as divorcees while you own your own detached residential with garden at front and back for over a quarter of a century?
The law says it's okay for solicitors acting on behalf of the women in these (hypothetically) failed partnerships to evict you from your own home so that it can be sold and the proceeds divided between you as a percentage?
Since early childhood I was never exposed to anything other than people in failed marriages ~ either hanging together
"for the sake of the children" (What an irony!) - or divorced and living alone in rented rooms.
It's the Number One reason I stayed single.
Quote: "They are also good for children; growing up in a happy home protects children from mental, physical, educational and social problems. However, about 40 to 50 percent of married couples in the United States divorce. The divorce rate for subsequent marriages is even higher".
Dear Jesus ....
