I think that is quite probable. And just because we don't know the exact mechanism at the moment doesn't mean that we won't work it out in the future.

God of the Gaps. Wherever there is a gap in scientific knowledge, that's where you'll find the habitat of God.

Deities are fast losing their habitats. Sadly, deities are becoming endangered species.
