Masks in a court room, it is at least questionable, have all the implications been explored.

A straight answer to a different question is not actually a straight answer Gandalf. Let's try again. Are you suggesting the judge is not allowed to use common sense?

Under your proposal - obviously. ie there should be a blanket ban on all face coverings. Is that any clearer?

Ah. I think that's the straightest answer yet, Muslim.

What proposal?

Are you suggesting the judge is not allowed to use common sense?

Your proposal to apply a blanket ban on all face coverings in court because they are all necessarily "intimidatory".

The judge should be allowed to apply common sense as to which face coverings are intimidatory and which are not. You don't want this - obviously. Fortunately, as it stands I believe judges still have that choice - because your idiotic proposal does not apply - yet.

OK, thanks for the explanation. Here's a question for you though. Are you claiming that the judge is not allowed to apply common sense?

Under your proposal - yes. I think I already said that.

Niqabis and sharia observant Muslims generally do not insist on keeping covered in court and not standing as a fashion statement, you dill.

So, no evidence then, I take it?  Oh, dearie, dearie, me.  Tsk, tsk.   Get back to us when you discover some, Soren.    Roll Eyes

You bloody lying fool:

A transcript from that civil trial tendered to court revealed when the judge asked Elzahed's lawyer why she wasn't standing, he explained she was a "strict Muslim" and "she won't stand for anyone, except Allah".

Judge unreasonable for barring woman from Victorian court because of niqab, Islamic Council says

Different case, Soren.  Tsk, tsk, as usual, you're not paying attention to what the discussion is about.  Oh, dearie, dearie, me.  Nothing new to see here, just Soren's usual Islamophobia.  Move along, move along.   Roll Eyes

It's always the same case - Islamic law and Western law are incompatible.

Oh, dearie, dearie, me.   Move along folks, move along.  Nothing of any interest here, just Soren supplying his usual Islamophobe answer.  Two completely different cases.   What a shame you can't tell the difference, hey?   Roll Eyes Roll Eyes

Just so everyone knows their rights, any business owner is allowed to refuse entry to their premises to anyone wearing a Burka or any other mask.

That's interesting, Matty. Do you think my local medical centre has this right?

I'm curious.

Good question, FD. Should the judge not have the right to not be spooked? How about offended?

Just think, she would have got away with it if it wasn't for those miserable kids.

I agree. Burqas are nonsensible. Judges, however, are there to rule on criminal actions.

Now which law bans burqa-wearers from obtaining medical attention?
