What about them you dill?

Has someone been asked to remove one in a court of law?

No, they have not.  Do you reckon this Judge who tossed a member of the public gallery out because of some piece of apparel covering her face would have tossed out a person wearing one of those burn masks.  If not, why not?

For both of you t/wats

Is a Niqab or Burka a medical/surgical requirement in the treatment of burns?

Or just an item of oppressive apparel that can readily be removed if asked to do so in a court of law?

Is it legal to wear a hoodie, balaclava or full faced bike helmet in a court?

And couldn't a facial burns victim be asked to supply a medical certificate?

That you clowns think persisting with the surgical burns mask option is a winning formula in this debate shows how desperate you are. Roll Eyes

You are missing the basic point which is about security and a criminal using devices to hide their ID when they are in a Court Room.

Well this is a good starting point, you lot now concede that wearing a mask is a security risk, and obviously that does not only apply to a court room.

Repetitive irrelevant BS that has already been "proven" & explained to you .....

but you just don't get it.

You never will ...

I missed that bit.

Refer to Aussies post above yours, he stated it crystal clear and now he is trying on big lawyer type words to get out of it, seen it all before.

No, he didn't.

No, I was making the obvious point that if a niqab is per se a security risk, so is a burn mask and in both cases, bona fides can be established without just summarily booting people out..   Ever tried to get into a Court Building these days without passing through the same security screening as happens at airports, even down to the shoe thing?

Tell us why court proceedings need to be further delayed whilst Officers check the identity of all face covered persons who are required in attendance or who want to attend in the public gallery? ..... not that this instance should have had a public gallery.

The simple solution is everyone face is exposed, to enable easy identification ........

and no bs regarding surgical burns masks has any relevance.

No.  The simple solution is one you also referred to.  Simply verify who they are.  The niqab wearing person is taken aside by a female security officer as they enter the Court Building.  Job done and dusted.

You are lying, of course, effortlessly, with barely a blink of the eye.

Progress, innit.

No....The judge had an issue with the defendants wife no one else???

Quote:
If there's any doubt about someone's identity, a woman can be asked to step into a room privately with a female security person, remove her niqab, verify their identity," he said.

The identity of the accused or his wife cannot be revealed for legal reasons.

Women connected to the case have previously been allowed in court wearing niqabs or burqas.

Bullshit .... what if the defendant & his wife weren't Muslims?

How would the defendants wifes identity then be protected from being revealed?

You're the one full of crap.

It was the court who would not reveal the identities which is what quoted from the article I provided a link too you f@#k wit....If you think it is a lie post the truth and have a go at the article not me wanker....I await for you to post a link proving I was lying you dickhead...Your opinion is worthless!!!

I got a problem with that, a court room is supposed to be a fair and open place, why should Muslims be allowed in with face coverings, An accused and or witness should be allowed to see all just as they are allowed to see them, who knows the intent of the masked ones, a link could be made to these masked ones for crimes further down the track that otherwise could not be made.
