What about them you dill?

Has someone been asked to remove one in a court of law?

No, they have not.  Do you reckon this Judge who tossed a member of the public gallery out because of some piece of apparel covering her face would have tossed out a person wearing one of those burn masks.  If not, why not?

For both of you t/wats

Is a Niqab or Burka a medical/surgical requirement in the treatment of burns?

Or just an item of oppressive apparel that can readily be removed if asked to do so in a court of law?

Is it legal to wear a hoodie, balaclava or full faced bike helmet in a court?

And couldn't a facial burns victim be asked to supply a medical certificate?

That you clowns think persisting with the surgical burns mask option is a winning formula in this debate shows how desperate you are. Roll Eyes

You are missing the basic point which is about security and a criminal using devices to hide their ID when they are in a Court Room.

You are lying, of course, effortlessly, with barely a blink of the eye.

Progress, innit.

No....The judge had an issue with the defendants wife no one else???

Quote:
If there's any doubt about someone's identity, a woman can be asked to step into a room privately with a female security person, remove her niqab, verify their identity," he said.

The identity of the accused or his wife cannot be revealed for legal reasons.

Women connected to the case have previously been allowed in court wearing niqabs or burqas.

Roll Eyes Roll Eyes Roll Eyes

Bullshit .... what if the defendant & his wife weren't Muslims?

How would the defendants wifes identity then be protected from being revealed?

You're the one full of crap.

You're completely missing the point.

If it's about security, why aren't people with burns masks (for example) asked to remove those?

So where do you go to buy surgical burns masks off the rack?

They are usually required to be tailor made ... & what's more  ....

how many people would be only burned on the head/face & have no other body evidence of burns?

How many incidences of using burns masks have there been in committing crimes .... or acts of terror?

The old Burka/Niqab is way out in front.

Court of law ... all faces to be exposed ... verified burns victims excused.

No problems.

There's no way a criminal would steal a mask, or pay off a doctor.

If they have been verified why would you ask for removal?

Why is it OK for a Muslims wifes identity to be kept secret by her wearing a Niqab for legal reasons yet a non muslim not.

Do you think that if a non muslims wife was allowed into a court with head covering for legal protection that her identity wouldn't have been verified by Police or Officers of the court beforehand?

We are discussing someone with evil intent, nothing else.  Someone of that intent can easily enough get one made.  They are not illegal.

I'd guess there'd be many.

Completely irrelevant to the point of someone with evil intent bent on hiding who they are.   They'll use any device.

Just like the niqab wearer can be verified instead of being just summarily booted out of a public gallery.

You still don't get the point (and obviously never will).

It's like trying to reason with a child.
