Wink Wink Wink

Aussie is being very poofy tonight.  Embarrassed

Na....I think he is trying to make a point....The woman would not remove her garment and decided she would prefer the judge would get f@#ked....It is her right to do so when the judge is an ass!!!

Cool Cool Cool

He calls himself a lawyer but has no respect for judges - go figure?

There were many individual Judges most Lawyers had no respect for.

There are a lot of judges who have no respect for lawyers, and that goes for the wider community as well.

Simply answered your question Phil...

Just that you agree with the judges decision....You gave no valid reason why the judge would make that decision as she was not a witness???

Huh Huh Huh

No, I never said I agree with his decision because I don't - in these circumstances, I personally do not feel any valid reason.

All I am saying is Justice Beale made a call as he saw fit - his valid reason being no face covering in his court. His right to do so.  That should not be confused with my agreeance that it was the right call.

However the judge should always remain impartial and show no bias....His decision could influence the jury against the defendant....I accept the judge has every right to maintain order in the court without bias...The niquab is not illegal in Australia!!!

If i was a witness in a court case i would not want a bunch of people in the gallery or on the jury in masks while i give out personal information about my family, acquaintances, business dealings, whereabouts etc. they may have a vendetta of their own and sit there with impunity. This may inhibit justice being served.
The judge was right and should extend to all courts of law, government buildings, malls and sandwich shops.

Isn't it bias to make everybody else take their hats off but she can get away with a full face covering?

Are you going to ask people to remove their surgical burns masks when entering court?

Like my poor ex-neighbour, Dana?

Bingo!

Now, think about that when addressing the "security issue" argument that some have put forward.

No, she certainly did not.

She made an absolute fool of herself.
