A teenage girl and a factory worker are dead and a tradie is suffering serious injury after a string of workplaces accidents in Victoria.
WorkSafe Victoria said a 17-year-old stablehand died after falling from a horse at a Tyaak property in central Victoria on Sunday.
A day later, a 29-year-old man was electrocuted near a live switchboard at a Dandenong factory in Melbourne's southeast.
Another man aged in his early 20s was hospitalised with serious head injuries on Tuesday morning after he fell about six metres from scaffolding at a Fitzroy North construction site.
He was winched to safety and taken to the Royal Melbourne Hospital in a stable condition.
WorkSafe said the accidents represented a "horror" 48 hours and that businesses needed to ensure new employees or those returning from holidays understand the risks in their workplaces.
"Young workers often lack experience and can be reluctant to ask questions," WorkSafe's Adam Watson said.
"Employers need to ensure they receive the correct training and supervision and feel comfortable about speaking up if they are uncertain about any task they are given."
