Horses playing water polo

An acquaintance of mine has a number of horses on a property with a fairly large dam.

She was telling me the other day that during the hot weather they get in the dam and sit down.
She bought them one of those really large beach balls and now they are playing some kind of game where they nudge the ball towards each other.
