So what are we all eating on Australia Day?

I heard lamb is a popular choice.

depends on what takeaway is open.. if its my local Vietnamese.. maybe..chilli beef.

Maybe something with a bit of spice.
Had the local thai the other night, so not that again.

More garlicky

I love Hummus.  No serving it in your long dirty white dress though.

I usually make my own but I bought one from Coles the other day and it is the nicest packaged one I have ever tried.  I will definitely buy it again when I feel too lazy to do my own.

Obela Roasted Pine Nut Hummus.  Well presented too with the roasted Pine Nuts in a little round indentation on top together with a patterned sprinklings of herbs.  Nice and garlicky too.  Nom nom!!

1pm. Drive up Wunulla Road and look for the AFP Protective Service Officers in the red cars.

Just ask where for Gordies BBQ and they'll give you directions.

No need, plenty of my home made hummas but can't see why it would need to be halal. Chick peas, sesame paste, lemon juice, olive oil, salt, pepper.

I go really gentle on the garlic and cumin.

Love the cap. No pressies required. I just ask that everyone gets on well and mingles with people with people who they'd consider to be on a different side to them.

No silly, the AFP boys are for Big Mal, but we're on nodding terms as I see the when I'm walking the dog.

Hope they don't mind giving out directions to my BBQ, I haven't actually cleared that with them yet.

Goulbourne Vally, so should at least be 92% Australian grown product processed in China.

I bought the flags in Aldi so no idea.

When you speak to the AFP guys, just flutter your eyes and if that doesn't work give them a roadie.

BRB, popping out to get some vegan sausages,  just in case.............

I posted it as an open invite and don't want to be caught out not being able to provide for someones dietary requirements, so we've got a pot of butter chicken bubbling away and some vegan sausages.

I tried to get some 'you wouldn't believe it's not lamb' but they'd all sold out.

Those vegan sausages are absolutely foul.  UGH!!

Years ago Sanitarium used to make a product called Rediburgers which was pretty good.  It was in a tin and you could slice off your 'burgers' or wrap pieces in puff pasty to make 'sausage rolls'.

Don't know if they still make it.
