Salim arrested for Lebbo neck scam
Jan 23rd, 2018 at 11:20am

Salim Mehajer has been arrested and is facing charges of conspiracy to commit fraud and perverting the course of justice following a police investigation into a car crash in October.

The 31-year-old was arrested along with three other people following an extensive police investigation into the incident, with police alleging the crash was staged to commit insurance fraud and to avoid court.

A police spokeswoman confirmed Mr Mehajer had been refused bail, and is due to face Waverley Local Court on Tuesday afternoon.

Mr Mehajer was driving a Mercedes AMG when it was involved in a collision with a Mitsubishi Outlander on Delhi Street, Lidcombe, about 8.45am on October

He was initially trapped in his vehicle, before being taken to Westmead Hospital for treatment.

The crash prevented Mr Mehajer from attending the first day of his trial at the Downing Centre Local Court for allegedly assaulting a taxi driver.

No evidence whatsoever it can be attributed to George Orwell or Eric Arthur Blair (in fact the same guy)

This particular crime is rampant among his cultural group and actually really hard to prosecute.  Only because he's a high profile arsehole police would have had extra resources.

Well done, coppers.

Probably hard to prosecute cause it doesnt occur that often. Or as often as you claim it does.

Something's up with the forum this morning.

The link you provided to support your claim didn't work.

Could you please post it again?

Thanks.

You ignoramus

A Middle Eastern crime gang is suspected of carrying out $11 million worth of insurance fraud involving staged car accidents and faked injuries.

A 43-year-old solicitor and two men posing as physiotherapists, aged 30 and 31, were arrested on Wednesday, accused of playing roles in the scam.

Marcel Joukhador, 43, was refused bail at Burwood Local Court today despite his lawyer offering $250,000 surety and promising he would not contact almost 150 people suspected of ties to the compulsory third party insurance scam.

One of his co-accused, Mohammad Ali Mahmoud Sallam, 31, from Lidcombe, was also refused bail.
