i dont think either Trump or Duterte  NEED to crack down on the media.

both these guys (who are very similar in style i might add) have made the mainstream media irrelevant.

people want to vibe with a strong leader, who is a man on his mission in life and who doesnt pander to them.
they are sick to the teeth of inauthentic politicians who need to consult a focus group to decide how they should "portray " themselves.
if you cant see how inauthentic it is to "pretend" you are someone you are not, you havent been paying attention.

Trump and Duterte have a brand
that brand is "i shoot from the hip and if you dont like me then F+ck off".
and THAT is an authentic statement.

talk directly to the people.
make your words and actions stay in alignment
and dont even bother about the media.

now thats a winning combination.

it just makes all those who try to tear you down, look "weak and pathetic".

now, if we see a leader whose main virtue is that he is harmless and panders, we get concerned.

a rabbit is harmless.
thats not a virtue.

it just means youre weak and likely to get eaten.

so when we see a leader behave like that , we think
"we are going to get eaten".

the more a leader can show he has a spine and stand up to these forces, the more secure the public feel and the more they "like the guy".

the media think that attacking a strong man weakens him.

what you attack , becomes stronger , as long as it has a spine.

They refuse to virtue signal which is always a habit of the weak man who wishes to comply with the cultural hypnosis.

Despite what we've been reading in the press about Duterte's flamboyant style of leadership ~ he still remains hugely popular with the Filipino public.

While not letting Human Rights bodies and Cultural Marxists hobble him with moral blackmail ~ he's getting things done for which he was voted into power. The public forgave his past misdemeanors on the understanding that if he was elected president he would clean up the streets and be a pro-active leader of the country.

Him and Trump are birds of a feather, and couldn't give a rat's arse about political correctness or pandering to the do-nothing moralists who infest the universities, the police hierarchies, the media, the polity, and the judiciary.

They are men of action who are not afraid to step on a few toes while doing some practical good for their countries.
