I hadn't seen a rabbit for years
Jan 17th, 2018 at 12:17pm

Till last year, then all of a sudden I was seeing a few of them breeding. Not a lot but enough to be a bit of a nuisance.
And yet they have been releasing those viruses.
Is the reason they're not working the absence of mosquitoes?
You know how mozzies bother some people and not others. I'm one of the people they can't resist but I just haven't seen one for ages. Not this summer or the last.

Know the enemies of a civil society by their public behaviour, by their fraudulent claim to be liberal-progressive, by their propensity to lie and, above all, by their attachment to authoritarianism.

Well where are you. I'm in NSW Southern Highlands and they have been very scarce here except in the past year or so.

DNA is referring to the city folk who are suckers for a 'Bargain Sale' - the bunnies - and mozzie Moslems who are increasing in number in our suburbs like amoebas in a Petri dish.

I saw heaps of bunnies earlier this morning, when I was shopping.

They wouldn't give a sh*t about the people on the land for whom it might matter.

What do you do? Scrape them off your boot and move on.

Seen a rabbit this evening from the train window north of Ourimbah, Mainly horse paddocks, some cows.

Fairly recently on the way down to the beach a big jack hopped out onto the path in front of my dog and I. He looked at us and kept going.

Rabbits are good eatin'.

Used to eat them in the UK with gravy, mashed potatoes, carrots, and peas.

Delicious.

Nothing like a baked rabbit. Trouble is these days I think they're dearer than fillet steak.
