England win by 5 wickets  -  7 balls to spare.

They lost 3 wickets for 36 runs out of 53 balls. Seems that Australia fought to the end.

A much more exciting game than the tests.

Just saw a good catch from the wicket-keeper for Melbourne Renegades.

Others have entirely missed those balls sent into the stratosphere, swirling around as it comes down.

Ian Chappell nailed it from his baseball experience.  "Infield drift."

I always found 3rd man was the worst position when the batsman got a thick high edge....The ball would swirl around and drop on you quicker than expected???

Huh Huh Huh

Yes.....but next time you see one.....the ball will seem to move away from the bloke intending to catch it.  'Infield drift.'

Must allow for it when under one like that.  Not easy at all.

Not a fan of Big Bash.  I put it on my TV while I am wasting time here.  My attention to the TV will be drawn by noise and I'll have a look.

I suppose it is a tribal thing, so if I gave a stuff at all about it, it would of course be Heat.

But, really....it is pretty poor stuff.

Just clear your front leg away and swing.  Almost baseball.

Does the captain make a difference ?

' Eoin Joseph Gerard Morgan captains the England cricket team in One Day (ODI) and Twenty20 (T20I) Internationals.'

they have won 3 from 3.

Joe Root is the current captain of the English Test team.

they lost the ashes badly.

No Eoin can't play tests to save his life. And its more about personnel and tactics. The English are batting a lot better in the ODIs then they did in the tests. Our quicks are a bit tired from the tests, and we have rubbish backups.

No evidence whatsoever it can be attributed to George Orwell or Eric Arthur Blair (in fact the same guy)

That streaker let me down actually. I was at least expecting a summersault or a rollie pollie. Streaking's about crowd entertainment. 8/10 for me.

0/10 for that arsehole security bloke who pummelled him with excessive force after he clearly gave himself up.

Still, the streaker takes his place in folk lore as being the first at the new Optus Stadium.

Fair enough, ODI's are about entertainment I guess, but only good looking blonde chicks should be allowed to streak though.
