Now it is gender free licences
Jan 12th, 2018 at 1:57pm

Tony Abbott warned this would happen if the SSM YES vote got up.

The Extremist Activist Greenies would see it as a green light to attack every aspect of Australian society. And it is happening.

Police union slams gender-free driving licences

Queensland’s Police Union has slammed the removal of gender information from the state’s driving licences as “out of touch nonsense” despite acknowledging the move has no impact on operations.

The Palaszczuk government stopped displaying gender information on new and renewed licences in October 2016, but the Transport and Main Roads department still records the details, which are available to police.

While it’s not been noted as an issue by any officers until now, the plan has been derided by Queensland Police Union president Ian Leavers.

“It generally doesn’t have any effect on how we as police can do our job; it does, however, have all the hallmarks of the typical, out-of-touch nonsense we as a society have come to expect from government bureaucrats with no practical experience,” Mr Leavers told AAP on Friday.

“The next thing you know, these same government types will want to remove the actual photograph of a person from a driver licence because people might be offended because their photograph doesn’t look as good as they’d like it to be. Where does it end?”

Queensland Opposition Leader Deb Frecklington says the move is the result of a focus on political correctness.

She has called for gender information to be once again stated on Queensland licences, labelling its removal a “nanny state” move.

“It’s offensive and it’s just gone mad.”

Ms Frecklington says the government should instead be focused on unemployment, ensuring trains are ready for the Commonwealth Games and lower power bills.

The change was made following amendments to the 2013 Commonwealth Sex Discrimination Act and improvements to biometric imaging and facial recognition technologies.

Nothing to do with SSM numbnuts.  This began a year at least before the SSM thing got under way.  It is also standard practice in at least NSW.

Not according to the article.

It is very much a political correctness thing that is fired up by the SSM YES vote.

And the Pally Qld Labor govt is sucking up to the Greenies since the election so it all fits like a glove.

Tony Abbott was right.

I've never heard of a traffic cop pulling people's pants down as part of a licence check.

It seems that juliar has got his knickers in a knot over absolutely nothing, once again.

Moreover, this has nothing to do with SSM.

Back to the drawing board (i.e. your Liberal Party script writers propagandists), juliar.

Completely wrong.  The process to change licence details (sex and height) began ('fired up') at least 12 months before the push for SSM.

Where is the Article does it say otherwise you parrot?

It is Political Correctness with a Capital 'P'

Anyone here read Big Brother? You should because we are edging towards it millimetre by millimetre

Our 'soft cock' society is headed for a fall..a big one

You only have to look at Victoria where an impotent Left Wing hand wrenching Premier Daniel Andrews is allowing terrorism on the streets of Victoria

Do yourself a favour and take a look at the new movie 'The Darkest Hours' with Gary Oldman as Winston Churchill. Watch how Churchill dealt with the white flag wavers like Neville Chamberlain and Lord Halifax.

It is a tour de force and a prime example of how to resist the left wing soft cocks of this world

I've just checked my WA licence - it doesn't say anything about gender on there.

What effect will that have, if I get stopped by police?

There's no x on my licence.

It just doesn't mention gender.

It also doesn't mention height, hair colour, eye colour, weight, or anything else.

Why is it so important to you that you have your gender recorded on your licence - is it hard to tell just from looking at you?

Now political correctness is making its way into your wallet: Queensland scraps GENDERS from its driver's licences after receiving complaints from the LGBTI community
•The Queensland Government will roll out new gender-less driver's licences
•The move comes as members of the LGBTI community argued discrimination
•But Department of Transport said technological advancements are the reason

The Queensland Government has scrapped a requirement for gender to be shown on all driver's licences, after complaints from the LGBTI community.

The Department of Transport and Main Roads (TMR) confirmed that height was also removed as a requirement, after concerns the collection of personal information was potentially discriminatory.

However, the Department said the move towards gender-less licences was due to the need to make driver's and marine licences compliant with new anti-discrimination laws, according to the Courier Mail.

Another reason for change was due to improvements in technology, a spokesman for Roads Minister Mark Bailey said.

'TMR has received complaints and suggestions from members of the lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and intersex community about displaying gender/sex (M or F) on TMR cards,' a department document said.

Other information, such as eye and hair colour, is also being removed from records attached to licences.

Do you have a cock Gregg - then like it or not you're a Male

Licence details are a necessary part of Law Enforcement

Police don't have time to jerk around with drivers ascertaining whether they are male, female or transsexual

This is just another prong from the Left wing wankers always looking at weakening the Law

Red, please pay attention.

A WA drivers licence does not record gender.

Does yours?

Moreover, the police officer pulling me over doesn't need to know if I have a cock or not.

Why would they (unless Sir Booby has joined the force, of course)?

Why would they need to know that?

Have you ever been asked your gender when pulled over for a random breast breath test?

I certainly haven't.

A police office has never asked me my gender.

Whether it be at a booze bus, for speeding, or for a random licence check, I have never been asked if I'm a man, woman, or transsexual.

Why would a traffic cop need to know that?

Red wants every traffic cop to know he has a cock, but he's not sure why.

Strange.

I just did a check and, from my very basic research, it appears that QLD is the only state or territory that DOES currently show gender on a drivers licence.

Is that right?

I want to know why he has not been so outraged about his gender not being recorded on his Licence, previously and just today.  That's why I have asked when his current Licence was issued.  But, he is no longer in the Building.

Its not on Victorian licences either.

Although it did make my day seeing a report in the Herald/Sun about it and all the Victorian rightwards hysterically saying that it was "political correctness gone mad", not realising that their own Victorian licences don't have gender either.

And why is it even necessary anyway?

Still waiting for an answer from red on that one.

Are there different speed limits for women?

Are men allowed to have a higher blood alcohol concentration than women?

Is it okay for a woman to operate a phone whilst driving, but not a man?

Yes, quite extraordinary.

The only way people will know, is if they write it on everyone's driver's licence.

After that, maybe someone can explain why it's important to do so.

Red still hasn't come up with an explanation.

Are there different fines for different genders?

I've just checked my WA licence - it doesn't say anything about gender on there.

What effect will that have, if I get stopped by police?

Depends on how much make-up you've got on; how high your 'heels' are, and of course how many socks you stuff in the bra you usually solicit in........dickless  Grin

Why would it depend on that?

Are the traffic fines different for people who do that?

Do men pay more for a speeding ticket than women?

Can you please elaborate?

I've never heard of a traffic cop pulling people's pants down as part of a licence check.

This beat up is a bunch of shite - other states don't have gender on their licenses.

This has nothing to do with ssm - this happened over 12 months before that vote.

Take your slippery slope argument and shove it.

Police don't have time to jerk around with drivers ascertaining whether they are male, female or transsexual

Why would the police need to know if the drivers are male, female, or transsexual red?

Are there different fines for different genders?

Can anyone help red out on this one?

Still no answers, I see.

Sir Booby is always very polite when he gets pulled over.

What is next? Not being able to identify a perpetrator of an extreme crime because it would be racist, sexist, ageist, etc? Most people reach their full height by the time they are old enough to drive. Assuming the department of transport does another measurement of someone's height when they renew their licence, you would assume height is for the sake of quick identification. And gender helps in elimating about 50% of potential suspects.

"suspects"?

What on Earth are you talking about?

Why does a traffic cop need to know the gender of someone they've pulled over?
