Is that recorded on their licence?

Yes, quite extraordinary.

The only way people will know, is if they write it on everyone's driver's licence.

After that, maybe someone can explain why it's important to do so.

Red still hasn't come up with an explanation.

Why would the police need to know if the drivers are male, female, or transsexual red?

Are there different fines for different genders?

Can anyone help red out on this one?

I've just checked my WA licence - it doesn't say anything about gender on there.

What effect will that have, if I get stopped by police?

Depends on how much make-up you've got on; how high your 'heels' are, and of course how many socks you stuff in the bra you usually solicit in........dickless  Grin

Why would it depend on that?

Are the traffic fines different for people who do that?

Do men pay more for a speeding ticket than women?

Can you please elaborate?

This beat up is a bunch of shite - other states don't have gender on their licenses.

This has nothing to do with ssm - this happened over 12 months before that vote.

Take your slippery slope argument and shove it.

What is next? Not being able to identify a perpetrator of an extreme crime because it would be racist, sexist, ageist, etc? Most people reach their full height by the time they are old enough to drive. Assuming the department of transport does another measurement of someone's height when they renew their licence, you would assume height is for the sake of quick identification. And gender helps in elimating about 50% of potential suspects.
