What is "toxic" about nationalism?
Jan 5th, 2018 at 7:30am

I keep hearing this phrase bandied about, obviously of course by those who for some bizarre reason favour the surrender of national sovereignty.
Philip Adams, the leftwing former communist radio host whom I greatly respect, often uses the phrase with just a soupcon of a disparaging tone when he is discussing European affairs or Trump.

I cannot conceive of anything more natural than that a country with a population of mostly homogenous ethnic identity, or two or more ethnic groups who live harmoniously, should wish to preserve that national identity and not see it undermined by the imposition of a migrant.quota consisting of people with whom they can see little prospect of a happy coexistence.

But.somehow this is a "toxic" attitude.
Does it follow that the opposite would be."curative" or "beneficial" to their national health & existence?

Know the enemies of a civil society by their public behaviour, by their fraudulent claim to be liberal-progressive, by their propensity to lie and, above all, by their attachment to authoritarianism.

There is NOTHING toxic about being proud of your country.

It's a question you should direct at the apologists on this site.

If we want to continue as we are the first thing we have to do is get rid of the greens who would have us diluted into some sort of world government.

Greens = homosexual communists

So why do you keep deferring to Putin and Russia as your gold standard?
