I was almost tempted to go out in the water with them -- but I have never gotten over my fear of sharks and crocodiles. We basically had lunch, and then it was all over for the day. I had to go home and rehydrate and then sleep for an hour before going to my friend's place for her party.

The rest of the evening was quite good. Apparently, it takes me 5 hours to drink 6 Hahn Premium Light beers. I was basically done for the drinks just after the new year celebration. No more booze for me for the year.

I've really been hitting it hard this festivus, I reckon about 10 standard drinks! Me too, no booze until the next time I climb Mt Warning.

I don't know if you understood or cared about what I wrote. But, a Hahn Premium Light beer is about 0.7 standard drinks per stubby. I got through 6 drinks in 5 hours. That meant that I had 4.2 standard drinks in my system -- minus the 1 standard drink per hour that gets metabolised in the body. Basically, by the time I had finished my drink at 12:30am, I would probably be sober by 5am when I drove home. I had a bet with my hosts that I would probably get pulled over for a random breath test on the way home. Even a large glass of ice water before I got in the car, I would probably have recorded a 0.01 BAC.

Compared to the pre-Christmas drinks of a bottle of scotch and colas, I think I would have recorded a 0.3 BAC after half a bottle. I felt quite sick after that night. But I think I was more tired than anything. Fell asleep at midnight and got up at 7am for another round of drinking. I think I went to work that night still intoxicated.
