Petrol/Power Prices in NSW
Dec 18th, 2017 at 8:01pm

Petrol has risen from $1.15 to $1.50 in just a few months and I've noticed that not many people have adorned their homes with Christmas lights due to the price of electricity.
It's like a fad that has gone out of fashion.

Not necessarily just NSW, could be nationwide, those two problems

Diesel is cheaper than petrol and gives better fuel economy. Electric cars won't be practical here in the bush for another 2-3 hundred years, it will take that long before power prices come down, there are appropriate roads and ample charging points for electric vehicles. The idea is just not feasible in the forseeable future, maybe for the big city, but definitely not for the bush

Christmas lights wouldn't use much electricity so it might be political correctness causing their absence, not wise to offend muslims and other pagans for fear of reprisals

Nevertheless, we all will regret privatization of power utilities. Private power companies have no morals, they know they have us over a barrel ... and how much of the extra money they bill us for alternative energy development and infrastructure actually goes towards those? How much of that money goes through a Hong Kong casino, or on round-the-world trips? We'll never know. The Libs and Labs sure as hell will never tell us

Next election, we should gather up all the willpower in our beings as we can, go cold turkey, break the habit of voting for a Lib or a Lab, guide our arms to move the pencil just a little further and vote One Nation. With every election there after, voting O.N. will become much much easier and finally save Australia from a fate worse than death

All the Christmas lights in our street (including ours) are solar powered.
