Another almost forgotten icon of Australian photography - Adelie Hurley:

Her father was Frank Hurley who was the photographer on those famous Antarctic expeditions, his photo of Shackleton's ship breaking up in the ice comes to mind.

She was a star newspaper photographer here in the 1930s before going to the US late in the war.
Later she would photograph the remote & wild areas of Australia before many people went there.
