Why does the Bible encourage domestic violence?

"Wives, submit to your own husbands, as to the Lord. For the husband is the head of the wife as Christ is the head of the church, his body, and is himself its Saviour."
Ephesians 5: 22-23

Not only that, Jesus didn't say this; it was Paul the Apostle.

I didn't say it was a quote from Jesus.

I said it came from the Bible.

My rule is: just ignore everything Paul says. He was a chartan, and corrupted Christ's teachings.

A good rule.  My question is though, if what you claim is true, why is Paul's teachings included in the New Testament?   It is an essential part of Christianity's teachings.  It is read extensively by multitudes of Christians as an example of Christian thought and belief.   It is therefore a part of Christianity that cannot be easily dismissed, any more than the Old Testament can be.    Roll Eyes

Well, Paul was the Second Founder of Christianity and so in this regard, that's why his teachings are valued.
