I'm with you Gordon. I'm sure there's life in other areas of the universe . Life is on earth because it's sits in the perfect distance from a burning star. Not too hot and not too cold. I'm sure there are other areas like this but it's probably too far away for exploration (at the moment) as you suggest.

For us at this point in time...

That's why I wrote (at the moment). The problem is that the atmosphere is so hard to punch through. They've been banging away at it from the early 60's and still it's very risky. And the energy to punch through the atmosphere is so great (fuel) that can the earth provide the fuel for large scale space exploration?

Point taken but that does not deny the possibilty they can explore us.

Distances, speed limitations and the development arcs of civilisations make it very unlikely. I'd never say never.

You know, Setanta, Agnes has banned me from 'The Tavern', but I accidentally posted there just the once, as I was unaware of the rule about Member Run Boards.

I contacted all Mods, and Agnes, and apologised for my mistake as soon as I realised what I had done.

Despite that one mistake - just one solitary post - I was given a forum-wide ban.

Now, here we have Agnes posting - nine times in one day - in a forum she's banned from, and nothing is being done about it.

Yes, 9 times in one day, in a forum she's banned from.

How is this allowed to continue, Set?

I'm curious.

I'm sure other forum members are curious too.

Should we consult with FD, or do you think you might be able to sort out this mess?

I've done the same, and have been given a forum-wide ban as a result.

Now, why is it that some forum members are treated differently than others?

If not you personally Greg, many have posted from newest topics and not been given bans(benefit of the doubt) after talking to the forum mod, as this forum's mod is currently missing, I'll make that judgement for him. Agnes, do not post here.
