Severe storm hit Rockhampton today. Allegedly over 100mm of rainfall. Wind, hail, and freak lightning. I had to go in to work and help with an overwhelming number of orders.

Had a read on this one US- and it always amazes me the sheer amount of hail and water that drops in QLD and large balls of ice as well- fire to flood- hard to believe the contrasts in weather up your way  Shocked

I went to the showgrounds just to donate some water there. I used it as a means to stickybeak what was going on out there. There was an article about how the fires just tore into the communities Gracemere and west. Then, yesterdaym we get the most intense storm since cyclone Marcia (Februaru 2015). Heard that the cyclone up north is going to dump a heap of rain in this region, next week.

Hot today in Melbourne and it will be 38 tomorrow.

After that it will cool down a bit after that for the following week.

I am only 20km away from the fire at Little River.
It's scary to have fires when there's high winds and extreme temperatures.
There were evacuation warnings on the radio for that area.

I am taking care.
Did you know that the railway lines were blocked by fire between Melbourne and Geelong?
The radio warnings sounded ominous.
I was expecting fires to break out everywhere as there
were reports of an arsonist.
It could of been much worse.

Best summer weather I have had since the last tropical depression came along. Windy and cool onshore breeze. I doubt it got much above 30 today.
