Two teenage boys have been charged with robbing a supermarket at knife point - wearing burqas. The youths, both 17, allegedly entering the Woolworths store in the heavily-Muslim western Sydney suburb of Auburn in August. The teenagers are accused of robbing the supermarket, twice in less than a week, before fleeing in a getaway car.

'The group allegedly stole the staff members’ mobile phones before running from the store and fleeing in a dark-coloured hatchback,' New South Wales Police said in a statement on Tuesday.
Five days later, after 7pm, they covered their faces and entered the same supermarket and approached an office where they allegedly threatened and assaulted a female employee. This time, they took cash and fled in a dark hatchback.
The two 17-year-old youths are charged with robbing this Woolworths supermarket in Auburn The two 17-year-old boys, from Auburn and Guildford, were arrested early on Tuesday morning following a police search of their homes. They were charged at Auburn Police Station. The Guildford teenager was charged with robbery whilst armed with a dangerous weapon. His accomplice from Auburn was charged with two counts of robbery whilst armed with a dangerous weapon. Both boys have been refused bail to appear at a children's court on Tuesday. Their arrests follow the arrest and charge of an 18-year-old man earlier this month, who remains before the courts. Strike Force Gallium investigators and the South West Metropolitan Region Enforcement Squad are continuing to investigate.
