Nationals breaking ranks ?

Just in case you missed the missile aimed at the bows of the government, Senator O’Sullivan says “if it’s good enough for conservative governments to have royal commission into trade unions, pink batts and detention centres then it is good enough to have one for the banks as they are more corrupt than the unions and on a scale much bigger”.

The ideological base that are the nationals voters WILL continue to exist.
But yes, the question will be if they see the nationals as their only means to political expression.
They won't vote labor. They won't vote greens. Not even big fans of the liberals.
They do vote independent, and there is the space for a country-wide party to challenge the nationals.

You know he is planning an increase to the medicare levy first that will more than offset any tax cut.
