Australians To Take Next Week Off, In Solidarity With Turnbull Government

Australia’s workforce won’t be in next week, it has been revealed.

Following the example of their leader Malcolm Turnbull, the nation said it was only appropriate that they also have some downtime to allow the Senate to do its job.

“It’s really important that the Senate is given the time and space it needs to get on with the task of passing the same sex marriage bill. So I won’t be doing any shifts next week,” Sydney nurse Sarah McMahon said.

Bill Lamore, a builder from Adelaide, said he was looking forward to still getting paid during the week off. “That’s the great thing about this. I can just put all my projects on hold next week but still get a paycheque come Friday. We should do this more often”.

Imagine calling your boss and saying you're not coming in next week because you don't like the work you'll have to do.

Well, that's exactly what Malcolm Turnbull did today.

He has postponed next week’s sitting of the House of Representatives.

hes hoping all the queer nellies that got elected   or semi elected to the senate  will solve our crisis..

the ball is now in their court......

I do hope this is a comfort to all those who got this mob elected in the first place....

we are at their mercy....and they only have a week  Sad Sad Sad Sad

a bit of a worry!  only 1 week.. Embarrassed

Why?? Wouldn't be a self-serving political decision, would it??
Can this parliament get more dysfunctional?? Maybe not.

smh, 20/11/17
When a Prime Minister cancels a parliamentary week for no apparently good reason, there is usually a very pressing concealed reason.

Try the very survival of the Turnbull government.

Set aside all the Prime Minister's guff about giving the Senate time to deal with same-sex marriage legislation - it would be able to do that whether the House of Representatives was sitting or not.

Set aside for the moment the widely telegraphed suspicion that Turnbull wants to avoid a vote that would likely produce a royal commission into banking, too.
That remains possible when the House of Representatives returns the following week, whatever Turnbull might wish.

The more pressing matter is whether the government, already missing Barnaby Joyce and John Alexander, could lose more of its numbers to the dual citizenship fiasco.

The real issue, then, becomes of vastly greater magnitude of threat to the Turnbull government.

Turnbull wants to survive."

Enough is enough.

Geez the Lefties are dumbfounded that Mal has so easily outfoxed Bull S. the silly old burnt out union brown noser.

Mal has done exactly what Bull S. would have done in the same circumstances.

Why would Mal let Bull S. off the chain to create pandemonium in the house ?

Mal knows that Bull S. is hiding several citizenship shonkies in the Labor hen house. After all the Bogan told him.

And now that Bull S. is BANNED from Qld because he is electoral poison Mal is smiling all the way to the election and rigging Newspoll with dummy boosts to Bull S. just to keep him there as Mal doesn't want Albo Sneeezy stepping in.

Paw LW will come down to earth eventually and realize his hero Bull S. is NOT going to drag Australia down into the Socialist gutter.

Malcolm is scared of a vote of no confidence being carried.

He's hanging on by a gossamer thread.
