Household chores

This topic arose elsewhere.

We don't have a dishwasher.
It's ALL by hand.

My house looks like some hoarder lives there. I guess that would be somewhat true. I moved my bookshelf into the kitchen from the loungeroom (for the sake of using it to put my other valuables). But, I tossed the books I had on it all over the floor. Now the loungeroom looks like the Johnny Five robot went through my house doing some speed reading.

It's hard to get started on throwing things out.

But it is beneficial.

I was getting a bit skeptical about dishwashers but since getting this new one...wow...it's the frigging off the charts good.

I was actually going to post a thread called housework, blokes style.

The other day a large tree a few doors up was removed and I'd left most of the downstairs windows and came home to a very dusty house.

I removed everything light and delicate and got the 2400w garden blower onto it. Worked a bloody treat.

I normally throw out anything not tax deductible and over 2 years old, if I really don't need it. But my house is full of things that I really want to keep. The other problem is my relatives own this house. If I throw things I don't want out, I get a bit of a tongue lashing from them. Mum does not want me to throw out any of the tupperware containers that I have cluttering my kitchen cupboards. A couple years ago, I tried to throw out a chair frame that was in the way. One night, I tripped over the chair frame that I did not know was there. Nearly, a week later, after putting the chair in the bin, I rediscovered the chair frame back on the ground under the house, as my mother announced that it makes for a good frame to put a plastic bucket inside. (WTF???). I put the chair frame back in the bin, right in front of my mother's witness, and gave no uncertain terms about its worthlessness -- pointing and telling about my sores from tripping over the frame earlier.

Though, I really need to clear out stuff that I don't want anymore. Much of my recycling does not get done for at least a month. I will put the rubbish bin out every fortnight. Whilst the recycling gets done every month. But the recycling usually piles up until I figure I need to clear the bench of soft drink cans and milk bottles for the recycling.

All I really need to do is sort my clothing out, reorganise my books, dvds, and cds. Then I can sort out the things that I don't need.

As a Detailer/Cleaner in many jobs.

May I recommend
'G101'
(
bright radioactive looking liquid
)
It cleans 'everything' - but wear gloves.
It's great for that 'brown-stained' Caravan awning.
Vaporises wasps (nests) in 10secs!
Basically voids most 'specialised' cleaning products like Mould Off and others.

...but make sure you 'rinse' it off before the 20mins is up.

You wouldn't believe how untrue that is although it's a delusion I'd like to live with. The amount of dishes/pot pans/cutlery I wash in a week. I do most of it at home, the magic table still works occasionally(see below video) but like yours is a bit disabled these days. The son's wife gets scabby hands from the detergent so it's him and me.

At the soup kitchen they prefer men for washing the dishes, we do a better job and far quicker.

Magic table.
