If you can't be a good example, you have to be a horrible warning.

Sorry but fail. A referendum to be carried requires  The majority of votes and the majority of states. It does not require 80%. You are wrong.

Quote:
Any alteration to the Consitution must be approved by a 'double majority', that is:

a national majority of electors (more than half the voters in Australia must vote YES); and
a majority of electors in a majority of the States (i.e. at least four of the six) (more than half the voters in more than half the States must vote YES)

Sometimes it is better to keep your mouth shut and give the impression of stupidity, than to open your mouth and confirm it.

I was waiting for him to confirm i, hence why I left out the specifics of the double majority

Australia says YES!

The Australian people have voted. Same-sex marriage will be legalised in Australia by Christmas if the Turnbull Government sticks to its promise.

The official results are emphatic: 61.6 per cent of all Australians voted to change the law. Every state and territory voted Yes. Only 17 electorates in the whole country voted No.

Hi Nail,

Greggy seems to be awfully pleased about it.

When's the wedding?

Are we all invited?
