Nevil or Wade

How many times have I said that even I was a far better 'keeper than he is.

Nevil is a genuine 'keeper, as I was.

'Chirping' ability is good to have...and it will surprise no-one there was never anyone on a cricket field who could upset an batsman as well as I could.

But....you are not there to 'chirp.'  You are there to take the chances.

Bye bye Wade.

I disagree.

Wicket-Keepers are meant to be like Sergeant's in the Army.
They are there to throw their weight around both with the 'sledging', chirping, whatever and making catches better than anyone else on the field.

The other Batsman should be so good, that the Wicket Keeper doesn't have to bat well to save the match.
He is meant to be the emmaculate 'fielder' and know, way better, how to place a field than a Captain should.

The
'flaw'
of Cricket is that all Bowlers have to Bat also.
But all Batsmen don't have to 'Bowl'.
