John is anything I actually said a lie? Or does it all depend on your inability to read and comprehend the second sentence? You have spent 50 pages desperately searching for some kind of hole in the article, but we seem to be stuck on trying to get you to read more than seven words. Is your misunderstanding really that fundamental? Is that why you posted that picture of you with your head in the sand?

FD doesn't understand the yes part, JS. I think you're supposed to say no - nothing FD said is a lie because of Bondi beach.

You explained that the lie was not in what I said. Does that mean nothing I said was a lie?

You also said that the lie was in what was implied, but then said I implied the opposite of what I actually said. Is this some kind of jellyfish logic you haven't explained before?

You've always wanted to climb Ayers Rock, FD. You just don't want to drive through 3 days of boring landscape on the way.

Lucky you're not an explorer, eh?

You can look at it on the internet instead, dear.

Better answer this one, JS. It's taken FD a year to think of a good question, so I think he deserves an answer this time, don't you think?

What sound does a jellyfish make?

If that is what is happening on ULURU (The Arkenstone of Sahul).
Then it is just as disgusting as what is happening on Mt Everest also.

You sail into a Shire of black Hobbits living in harmony with the Land (this Continent of the Sahul Region) and just destroy, steal and crap on all things sacred to heart and being of theirs.

But cry millions when the Notra Dame is burnt down like a sign of things to come at the hands of Islam.

The local native Sherpa Nepalese take people up Everest.

Would you deny them that right?

What I'm saying is that there has to be a better way.
The Milford Track in NZ was a famously popular Track but it eventually became so popular. The NZ Government had to put in Restrictions and now the volume is half and the price to walk it is in the thousands.

I will not begrudge Sherpa's an income 'up there' (For I have been there) via Tourism. But they should start putting on 'Restrictions' (much like Fishing/Forestry quotas) of volume of people, even just for safety reasons for starters (heaps of people died just 'waiting' in the line ups recently).

Why 'do' people need to climb ULURU?
I think it is more to do with the Tourism Industry's EXPLOITATION of it to gain $$$

Tourism has its dark side too.

Australia, because of it's recent Anglo colonial British genocidal past, has gained deserved world image as a unacceptably racist country.
This has to be corrected primarily by extensively educating still dominant Australian Anglo population about basic human values.
This is not easy task considering that Australia is still ethically backward British colony with British Monarch as a head of state.

Ya know, if you changed Australia to America and left of the "with British Monarch as a head of state", would it still make sense to you?

Considering the British were too busy keeping an eye on the Convicts and the Convicts were chained and too busy working for the British.

...the only people who Genocided the Aboriginals were the 'Free Settling' Squatters from the USA: Land of everyone else's is for Free!

Afterall. Only Americans have Guns.  Wink
