Kevin hasnt let go
Oct 21st, 2017 at 3:40pm

http://www.dailytelegraph.com.au/entertainment/books/kevin-rudd-says-he-was-warn...

yep a brand new book from Kevin  venting his pain after 7 long years...

KEVIN Rudd is taking aim in his new memoir and everyone from Julia Gillard to Wayne Swan and John Howard are square in his sights.

In an excerpt of his new book Not for the Faint-hearted: A personal reflection on life, politics and purpose, obtained by The Weekend Australian, Mr Rudd says Ms Gillard has promised to give him two terms as leader before he planned to “ensure a smooth transition”, which would see her appointed as Australia’s first female prime minister

She said I should be given two terms as opposition leader,” Mr Rudd writes. “If I had failed to win by then, then she would reserve her rights. She then added a caveat that if I went backwards in the 2007 election, when measured against (Mark) Latham’s result in 2004, she would also have to give some thought as to her next move. Both propositions sounded reasonable to me. We shook hands on it.

“This agreement was one of the reasons I was taken by surprise during the events of June 2010, when Julia acted to ensure that not only would I not be given two terms as Labor leader, I would only be given one, and that would be as a Labor prime minister who had actually prevailed against the then invincible (John) Howard. Such is the brutal nature of Australian politics played at its hardest.”

poor dear.....oh well I am sure he will sell far more books thanks to Julia... Grin Grin Grin

author - PZ547 on Rudd

I don't 'hate' him. Hate is way too personal a term. I don't personally know him

However, I do detest him

It's my personal opinion that Rudd is mentally unstable

The way he speaks, for one: that 'Schoolkid reading a book to the class' voice he uses. It's not normal. It's not manly. It's affected. He sounds like a precocious ten-year old who's in love with himself

Then there are the Transvestite-type asides which he injects into his Schoolkid-Reading-a-Book style monologues about himself -- when he inserts what he appears to believe is Bruce Willis type 'menace' .... as in his lowered voice as he hissed, 'It's not going to happen' --- accompanied by a glare like a bitter old auntie who's cake got second-prize at the fete

* All the posturing
* the monologues about himself -- always about him
* the Bates Motel type voices and facial tics
* the self-pity -- invariably when he's caused the problem himself
* the blaming of others - when he's to blame
* the attempts to sound like fifty different people simultaneously
* the venom
* the anger
* the weirdness
* the petulance
* the temper tantrums, like a spoiled brat
* his utter self-absorption to the exclusion of everyone, everything else
* his self-promotion - which isn't matched by reality
* his vengefulness
* his spitefulness
* his unfettered, massive, beyond belief size ego
* his conceit
* his impotence
* his self-serving disloyalty

Just the sight -- let alone the sound -- of Rudd blathering on endlessly about himself ... is enough to cause me to switch off the tv

He seems to believe he is a combination of Churchill, Menzies, JFK, Caesar, Einstein, John Wayne and an entire battalion of Rhodes Scholars, plus

He seems to believe it his destiny to be the ultimate, entire-world's Grand Statesman

To me, Rudd is an impotent, gender-confused little twat who spent (and spends) WAY too much time with himself, envisioning himself as an acknowledged mental and political Giant. In other words, it's my belief he's delusional -- is extremely fantasy-prone -- is literally IN LOVE WITH HIMSELF. To the point I suspect he probably kisses his own reflection in mirrors and hogs the bathroom in order to do so constantly

I think he's mad as a hatter and I'm glad he's been shot down, hopefully for good and in time for an army of psychiatrists to put him in a padded cell for the duration

So I don't know why others hate him

but above are my opinions of him

I think he's nuts -- flat out nuts

I have no desire to read Kev's book. He was better than Abbott but not many others.

Julia was very good though, she deserved to get a fair go.

Kev was too ruthless and out for himself for my liking. He undermined Labors 2004 election campaign because he preferred to vie for the opposition leaders job than to be in government in a team he didn't support.

Julia had flaws too and was ambitious but she did a good job in office in the most difficult of conditions. She was the best PM in the last 20 years but I have to say there wasn't and isn't much opposition.

People would be more concerned that he might tell a few truths as unlikely as that seems.

I am not particularly anti Kev either, he also was much better than Abbott probably Turnbull too.

Actually Rudd had pretty much stopped the boats before Abbott took office and in opposition Abbott did all he could to ensure the boats kept coming. He blocked (often with your support) any legislation to stop the boats.

You do understand that the Liberals amassed more than double the debt in less than half the time ?

The Liberals deficit is still running at more than double of Labor's largest.

Quote:
we had the most dysfunctional govt in our history for 6 long years.

Yet they still achieved more than the Liberals who have in fact been as much a mess or more so.

It sounds like you really did swallow the anti Labor spin, it wasn't real you know.

If you really want to see what dysfunctional government look like just think about Tony and watch Mal.

http://www.dailytelegraph.com.au/news/national/kevin-rudd-book-wayne-swan-brushe...

FORMER treasurer Wayne Swan says he is “neither surprised or worried” by claims by Kevin Rudd that his initial appointment to the treasury portfolio was “one giant joke”.

The former prime minister makes the claim in his new book, to be released on Tuesday, in which he suggests then-Opposition Mark Latham appointed Mr Swan shadow treasurer in 2004 as “a joke on the party” done to create problems down the line.

“He would bequeath Swan to his successor as a permanent Achilles heel, entrenched in the position once it had been given to him, simply because Swan’s factional strength would make it impossible to remove him,” Mr Rudd wrote.

Mr Swan said he was not bothered by the claims.

“Fighting inequality is much more important to me than fighting with former colleagues,” Mr Swan said. “Anybody with Labor’s interests at heart will take the same approach.”

It is the latest example of antagonism between the two Labor luminaries.

In Mr Swan’s own book, published in 2014, he said Mr Rudd had an “unstable personality” and his “treatment of people was extraordinarily vindictive and juvenile”.

Mr Swan was treasurer from 2007 to 2013 and was deputy prime minister from 2010 to 2013 under Julia Gillard after she deposed Mr Rudd.

It followed three years as the Opposition’s treasury spokesman from 2004.

Mr Rudd said in his book he asked for the treasury portfolio but was denied by Mr Latham due to perceived “treachery” in the election campaign.

OK   I have now talked myself into being first in line for kevvies big book....on Tuesday

I cant wait   to be honest    what we thought was a circus  looks like we righties were right after all..

bloody hilarious...

come on lefties pown up..

anyone buying it???>.

I could always lend you my copy for a small fee....

Yet they still achieved more than the Liberals who have in fact been as much a mess or more so.

It sounds like you really did swallow the anti Labor spin, it wasn't real you know.

If you really want to see what dysfunctional government look like just think about Tony and watch Mal.

When I first saw Kevin Rudd yapping away on the TV, I said to a friend, "the ALP should choose him as their next leader" ... I can't remember who ALP Leader was at the time ... perhaps Mark Latham?

John Howard had been PM for ages and it was about time to change tack.

I never voted for KRudd .... some friends did though.

Remember this?

omy dna- seriously we have to disagree there vigorously

Read Kev's book if you like.

no thanks-I followed the kev/julia very closely- she was calculating and back stabbing- if you saw The Killing Season ( ABC website ) That was fascinating and eye opening

http://www.dailytelegraph.com.au/news/national/kevin-rudd-book-wayne-swan-brushe...

If Kev is really saying things like this then he has gone bonkers. Stupidest thing I have heard.
