5/25 is fine.

Netflix and Stan work fine with that.

But, if you find it's too slow, you can always upgrade.

Not sure you can downgrade with a fixed plan.

Mr Smith, to quote someone..."That's all Chinese to me."

We/I pay $125.00 per month for land line, internet, and mobile.

Where is your comparison?

Aussie make an account at  Whirlpool forums then go to the NBN thread ' when is the NBN coming to my town" find your town and street and ask questions

It's already here Davo.  My problem is that what I have (ADSL) now works fine, and I am being forced to agree to connect an inferior product at an increased cost.

Schits me.

Inferior?

The NBN is great!

Yep  I was at a town that has FTTP 2 weeks ago and its good FTTN is however garbage.

25 is download speed and 5 is upload speed. Speeds are usually quoted as download/upload.

https://www.nbnco.com.au/learn-about-the-nbn/speed.html

The 3 speeds are 25/5, 50/20 and 100/40.

I have seen a 12/1 mentioned in places, not sure whether it is widely available though (depends on the ISP, I guess?)

You cant upgrade if you are  too far from the node.

I guess I'm pretty lucky.

I have FTTP, and the node is right across the road.

That's an interesting point: so, when do people find out their distance from the node?

Will the interweb chat sites eventually piece together who is where from what node and house prices will eventually come to reflect that because everyone is on top of the scam perpetrated by tony abbott for short term political gain?

Time will tell..................................................  Shocked
