The alleged syndicate is largely made up of former refugees and migrants from the Middle East.

Still got the big house? Probably in his sister's name like a lot of other 'business' deals he's done. Paid over for 'management' and 'consulting' fees etc out of the stash he borrowed from silly banks for his 'projects'.

Forget to pay a bill on time, not have enough in your account when the insurance comes out etc, and the bank stings you and then says you're a bad credit risk..... lose millions into your own and family pockets from a 'business' venture and you get to do it all over again. Huh

CONTROVERSIAL former Auburn deputy mayor Salim Mehajer could be in trouble with the law yet again.

On Wednesday, police confirmed that they were investigating insurance claims made by Mehajer’s companies referred to them by NRMA insurance.

“The NSW police force has recently received referrals relating to reported fraudulent comprehensive vehicle insurance claims,” a spokeswoman said

“Investigations into these matters are now under way.”

NRMA Insurance is yet to respond to The Daily Telegraph’s questions about the nature of the claims.

Incredibly, this is Mehajer’s second brush with the law this week.

On Monday, he missed a court date in the Downing Centre Local Court on charges of allegedly assaulting a taxi driver and stealing his EFTPOS machine and phone because he was in a car accident.
