I think in a case like this, first, lying to get custody of a child. And then systematically abuse and torture the child, leading finally to his murder. This should be a resounding life in prison. 33 years ONLY if they pleaded guilty, but they did not.

why we even give them a trial makes me sick....

I think they may meet their match in jail..
