I don't think anyone cares anymore, Barnacle. It's done.

It'll be fun to watch Mr Abbott vote no in the parliament though, no?

Indeed!  It'll be fun watching that day.

I went down to Canberra (Parliament House) when "Abbott" was being voted on....I'd love to be there the day this is voted on.....but I reckon the place is already booked out!

Sorry, Aussie, I had to edit my post. I remembered Mr Abbott's promise to the Australian people.

You do remember that Mr Abbott didn't keep his promises to the people ?

To whom are you enquiring?

Everyone

Personally, if the "No" result wins it won't bother me at all. It's not something that will have any effect on my life so I will accept the judgement.

I am interested to hear what the reaction will be from those who are saying that it will be the end of civilization if ssm is allowed. If the "yes" result were to win will these people accept the result? Or will they fight to save our civilization?

I can't save the world on my own: hence I boycott this dogs dinner altogether!

To not care about keeping the status quo is easy.

Women just slut it up no matter what happens so you may aswell just call yourself a dumb c#}{  Shocked

Under-promise and over-deliver, that's Mr Abbott's motto. Say what you'll do and do what you say.

Thank heavens the grown-ups are back in charge.

Indeed.

I've already got a dress picked out for my wheelbarrow, for the day when we're finally allowed to marry.

Those cute red wheelbarrows look great in white and a garland of flowers around the wheel is a must.

I miss Mr Abbott - it was the funniest time in Australian politics ever. Shame he was such a predictable failure.

If you measured political success by how much you laughed he could have been our most successful PM ever.

He really was the suppository of all wisdom you know ?

And he knew exactly what woman should be thinking about while doing the ironing.

I can't use my wheelbarrow until we are wed.

I've made that promise to her.

It's only a matter of time, though.

Once consenting homosexual adults, who are in love with each other, are allowed to marry it's only a matter of time until  humans are able to marry non-consenting animals and inanimate objects.

Would you like to be my best man?  My Weber BBQ is busy that day.

Well like most people what choice do I have?
Like most Conservatives I'd accept it, be unhappy about it, think it is the wrong decision then wait to see what happens in Parliament then move on with life.

But it will result in the collapse of civilisation! I've been assured of this by many reliable conservative posters on this forum. Surely you will do more than meekly accept the result.

Oh, I know. Even funnier, he's more influential now than he ever was as our Roads and Infrastructure Prime Minister.

Malcolm Turnbull ends up doing whatever he says.

The latest Australian Bureau of Statistics figures show 62.5 per cent of survey forms have now been sent back.
This is enough to give legitimacy to the survey.
So will you accept the result if it is not what you were hoping for?

Will the SSM people accept the result if they lose or will they be like the brexit losers who whinged and complained about the result?

That is the real kicker after all the damage that has been done it is a non binding result that the Liberals will never pass legislation on.

The reality is that a loss would have ended SSM for a long time but a win means nothing.

It will result in a society in which girls have short hair and boys wear dresses; we are in the yoke of Marxist overlords and it will all lead, ultimately, to the infiltration of tinted folk.

It's taken a couple of months but we finally got to the bottom of it.

Getting out of Brexit could cost the UK $50 Billion. What a good plan.
