Australia is not a 'Christian' country.

Australia is secular country, and almost all Australians are secularists, in their primary belief.

And i would venture,         that even 90% of those Australians who would say they are 'Christians', would almost never read holy scripture.

There seems to me to be a big "Well, Dur" element here.

"We're protesting to let our government know that we don't like extremism. We disapprove of it and we take a dim view of it. That's the message we're sending here".

Meanwhile, up in her Westminster office Prime Minister Teresa May happens to glance outside her window and catch sight of these thousands of protesters.
