Ain't gonna happen.

Unfortunately you are correct!

Yes - 58 people died in Las Vegas & another 90 would have died elsewhere -
Trump won't do anything but say prayers.

You can't blame Trump though.

You'd be mad to.

It's a tad late for him to do anything really.

The U.S was forged on the right to bear arms remember.

It's part n parcel of their well entrenched mentality and psyche.

So 90 more people will die every day and no one will do anything about it.

More people die from Opioid overdoses than guns in the USA, where are the calls to make prescription drugs harder to get?

Over 35,000 people die from traffic accidents every year would bringing in random breath and drug testing save many lives or would it violate their 4th Amendment rights?

Well then America is finished.
I'm glad I don't live in that hell hole.

I have lived and worked in the USA.

No murders in Bristol Rhode Island for over 17 years it makes it safer than any city in Australia.

3 murders in Punta Gorda in the last 17 years, safer than Australia.
http://www.city-data.com/crime/crime-Punta-Gorda-Florida.html

I never had any fear of anything while living and visiting the USA.

Many US states are enacting laws to severely restrict opiate prescriptions.

There is disproportionately less concern in the US about access to firearms than there is about access to opiates.

Trump won't do anything buy say prayers.

Firstly, he can't do anything but pray for those affected by this illegal use of a firearm (or firearms)......period!

President Trump, along with every governmental representative, every officer of the law, every judge...etc....is  sworn by oath to "..... preserve, protect and defend the Constitution of the United States."

Their first obligation is to preserve, protect and defend the Constitution of the United States in it's entirety......that's first & foremost.....

They must then, by oath, preserve, protect and defend the Second Amendment to the Constitution of the United States.

The President is not permitted, by solemn oath, to choose which parts of the Constitution he preserves, protects and defends.......agree or disagree, he must defend it all.

American People will never permit......& the government governs solely by the consent of the American People.....they will never permit their government infringing upon their Constitutional Right to keep & bear arms.

With that said, the weapon or weapons used in this massacre are already banned.......they are already illegal. Laws already exist making the automatic weapon used illegal.

Americans, as should we, already know that they can't legislate sanity......the mentally ill, who are yet to be detected & diagnosed as such, unfortunately don't glow iridescent green.....criminals don't obey the law.....laws are merely words on paper.......& proof of this is the area where the victims were shot, was a "GUN FREE ZONE"......

Freedom & Liberty has a cost......in this case a high one, but life goes on......Americans will overcome their sorrows once again, & march on as they always have......

PS.....in Israel this wouldn't have happened.....all baggage is checked by trained hotel staff before people are permitted to go up to their hotel rooms....

How easy would that have been in Las Vegas?

I met quite a few women with concealed carry permits they had no fear living there.

Since the homicide offending rate for women per 100K is over 10 times lower than the offending rate for men you would have irrational fears if you feared a woman with a gun.

The Second Amendment of the United States Constitution reads: "A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed."

I dont know, but if a lone wolf can purchase 41 assault rife type firearms, and spray into a crowd of thousands.  This is not a reflection of a well regulated militia.

The were illegal......banned......forbidden for private ownership. Only the police & the military are permitted to legally own/have them.

By owning them, or just having them, this deranged person is & was a criminal...........& criminals don't obey the law.

Rather than debating useless laws, why don't both sides of this issue offer their prayers to the God of their choice for those affected by this dreadful event? The time will come to score political points, but today is a day for reflection.

But Panther, surely being someone who is rational.  You do realize that, praying is not going to cut it,and not going to prevent another one happening next month.  Like Sandy hook, everyone will be returned to usual business in about 1 week.   And killing will continue.  Now, if a lone wolf born and bread in USA can do this.  What is going to stop ISIS from doing the same?
