Facebook to release pro-Trump adverts

Facebook to release pro-Trump adverts Russians used in 2016 election

Facebook has agreed to provide congressional investigators with advertisements purchased by Russians to influence the 2016 election.

"After an extensive legal and policy review, today we are announcing that we will also share these ads with congressional investigators," Facebook general counsel Colin Stretch said in a statement. "We believe it is vitally important that government authorities have the information they need to deliver to the public a full assessment of what happened in the 2016 election."

Intelligence committees in the Senate and House of Representatives are conducting separate probes into Russia's interference in the 2016 presidential race.

The social media company is also reportedly handing over information to Special Counsel Robert Mueller, who is trying to determine whether President Donald Trump's campaign advisers colluded with the Russian government to influence the election.

In recent weeks, Facebook had faced increased pressure to be more transparent about the Russian-related adverts after that company disclosed that it found more than $150,000 in Russian-linked ad spending on more than 5,200 ads on its platform.

According to the New York Times, Facebook had previously shown congressional staffers a sample of the ads, several of which praised Donald Trump or attacked Hillary Clinton.

Facebook’s September 6 admission could lead to future regulation of political advertising on social media platforms, including Twitter.

So its ok for the Media/Murdoch to influence trying to get Hillary in, but not so for outside influences to get Trump in?
Media was actually trying to 'groom' the American public to vote for Hillary.

Aside from that being highly debatable, can you not see a difference between US vs Russian influence?

Media is just as much a corrupt influence on USA Politics.
How do you know that the Russian efforts was to make for a more stable and peaceful co-operation between the two nations?
In the end, Trump was the wise choice.
Hillary is a fruitloop and just as crazy as Fatboy-slim Kim of North Korea.

......the most memorable moment of the G-20 Summit was the handshake between President Trump and Russian President Vladimir Putin. There’s no reason for Russia and United States to be engaged in a new cold war. Or a hot war arranged by globalists and central bankers. President Trump showed that he’s quite capable of marshaling a foreign policy and protecting America’s interests. He made it clear that he placed America first by wearing an American flag pin on his lapel, rather than the G-20 pin. You can bet the constantly bowing Obama would have worn the latter pin.
German Chancellor Merkel, Hillary’s favorite world leader, represented the globalist interests which include endless immigration, socialism, and ‘climate change,’ which is being used to help bring about worldwide communism. Both Putin and Trump are resisting such immigration and global elite control as well as the climate change malarky. This makes them both ‘bad guys’ in the eyes of the fake news legacy media. A left wing reporter from the Australian Broadcasting Corporation smeared President Trump by stating he had ‘no capacity to lead the free world.’ Wrong. He’s just not going along with the globalist agenda–and that’s refreshing. Trump rejects bad deals and presidents from the past few decades have made way too many of them.

Meanwhile, German leftist antifa types rioted in the streets during the summit. What did they want? Completely open borders and free stuff, of course. Don’t agree with them? If you were on the streets there and disagreed, you could have expected assault and battery to come your way. There wouldn’t have been much help from the Polizei, either. This kind of violence is gaining traction here in America, too. Young people are getting socialism drummed into their brains at colleges everywhere. They’re encouraged by professors, the mainstream media, and by extreme political correctness to engage in violent behavior. They don’t want debate. They don’t want to agree to disagree with a handshake. They want socialism by means of force, even though the lessons of history have repeatedly proven that state sponsored ‘free stuff’ and forced equality always leads to poverty, suffering and mass murder.

Yeah - but you watch USA deflect Chinese aggression onto Russia in the end. Russia has already betrayed China (after setting them up as Communists). China - not being able to fight the USA due to also having pro-peace ties, will choose the lesser threat of Russia, especially when it becomes Pro-European.
Wether it happens while Ras-Putin is still in power or after he disappears in the face of a Sino-Russo war?

Trump is one sly Reynard the Fox.  Grin

The right Media was manically behind Trump all the way the same media was also supporting Trump until details about Trump started to emerge showing that he was not suitable for President.

Revealing Trumps sexual problems his penchant for not paying tax and his refusal to pay his contractors for the work they had done all had a late impact on his support from the more balanced media.

People who looked at the facts with a balanced view found in the period of the election campaign that they could not support Trump.

If you consider Murdoch's FOX media as "Right", in America they are considered the furthest "Right" of the leftist bunch....but far from anything more than 2 points off center.

In America it's either Far Right, or Far Left, with a minority in & about either side of the center.

By "Right" media I take it you mean Conservative....We don't have a "Right" media here in Australia, the same as we don't have a "Right" political wing in Parliament....you can count the true Conservatives on one hand, & as far as media, we have only "Leftist" media....with some not as "Left" as others (our "Right).

In America you can count the "Right" media on one hand, even though the Majority of Americans consider themselves  Right of Center........their Center, not ours, which is way over to the left of theirs....

So, if you believe Americans hate/dislike Trump, you will be quoting polls run by the leftist media, that will never honestly tell you where they take their samplings from, who they ask, or how they phrase their questions.

In short, you have been willingly hoodwinked by their "Leftist" media....
