Technically speaking I bought an Apple iPhone yest
Sep 22nd, 2017 at 10:12am

erday.

They set it up in the shop to work, and then I trotted around to the Telstra shop where they made all the connections I need with my server etc so that it's ready for me to use without any further ado.

Problem: Buggered if I can do anything with it. I had hoped it was intuitive to operate, but apparently not so, and the asking for passwords is giving me the shìts.

So it's just sitting here on the desk nearly $1,500 full cost. It's heavy enough to be a door stop for my back door ... it's also big enough to be a Frisbee in the backyard.

Such is life.  Tongue

You can even get a Galaxy S5 now for $200,  brand new unlocked.

There's no need for new phones now, using a 2 or 3 year old phone has no virtually no loss of user experience unless your life revolves around gadgets.

That is exactly what I have done for my last two, bought them on Ebay, although last one took a few minutes of googling to work out how to change the language from Chinese to English!  Grin Grin Grin

I need both a new iPhone and a new iPad. Went to Harvey Norman today to purchase same.

Turns out to get the iPhone, you have to do it on a plan through Optus. I'm with telstra. Plus I don't purchase hardware through a plan - I buy it upfront.

You just lost around $2500 in business today Gerry.

I don't know how to use mine.

Most of what's on the Home panel doesn't respond.

I bought mine at the Apple store ... iPhone 7 Plus ... which they set up for me, and then I trotted around to the Telstra store where they set me up with all the connections I need.

I'm going to get the 7. I made the guy in the store run me through the difference between 7 and 8 and it's bollocks!
